Commodity Callout
Silver had a big week and did a lot to show the market that it doesn’t simply live in gold’s shadow anymore.
Metal Price Update
Gold — Gold continues its quest for holding above $4400 per ounce. Last week saw it start around $4330 and briefly touch $4400 before pulling back and ending around $4370. It has the fundamentals and it will get there eventually.
Silver — Silver prices have been flying lately. It started the week around $64.10 per ounce and ended at $67.39. These are new record highs and it’s not hard to imagine that it could go higher still from there.
Copper — Copper held its range between $5.41 and $5.49 per pound last week, showing stability in a market where other commodities are seeing their values rise. That’s a good sign to stock up while investor attention is elsewhere at the moment.
Lithium Carbonate — The lithium bull keeps moving. It started the week around $13,500 per metric ton and ended around $13,680. The world is slowly waking up to lithium’s usefulness and that, along with dwindling supply, will continue to push prices higher.
Uranium — Uranium continued with its slow and steady climb. It started around $78 per pound and ended at $79. Uranium is in a slowly unfolding bull market that many aren’t aware of, making the opportunity to buy perfect for savvy investors.
Company Callout
There are a lot of different ways to play the commodity bull market as it takes shape, but Lion Rock Resources (TSX-V: ROAR)(OTC: LRRIF) remains one of the best.
The company recently released an update on its drill program in South Dakota and revealed that management is encouraged by recent findings at the site. The asset in question is host to a variety of commodities, with gold and lithium being chief among them.
The company has a small market cap because too many don’t realize the immense potential there is here. That’s going to change before you know it, especially as gold and lithium continue rising in price, so you’ll want to add it to your portfolio before long.
