GSP Resource Corp. (TSX-V: GSPR)(OTC: GSRCF) — currently trading at a sub-C$4M market cap in a record copper market — has launched a property-wide geophysical survey at its flagship, 100%-owned Alwin Mine Project in southwestern British Columbia, Canada.

GSP Resources’ (“GSPR”) technical team is led by Kris Raffle, P.Geo., who is known for his expert reinterpretation of historical assets and datasets. He’s joined by capital markets veterans like Jordan Trimble, director — and Simon Dyakowski, CEO, whom you’re about to hear from directly in our exclusive interview coming right up.
The newly launched NSAMT survey — the first at the Alwin Property in nearly two decades — is designed to target deeper conductive and resistive features beneath the existing copper-gold-silver resource.
The survey is targeting features that, if present, could point to deeper porphyry-style mineralization associated with the broader Highland Valley Copper camp — one of Canada’s top copper-producing regions.
Publicly available data from Teck Resources’ (NYSE: TECK) adjacent claims show that historical IP anomalies — which align with both existing Highland Valley Copper operations and exploration drill targets — extend westward onto GSPR’s Alwin claims (see below).

Notably, Teck’s 2015 drilling at the Bethsaida Zone — just 700 meters east of Alwin — returned significant porphyry-style copper intercepts. Although the results suggest potential continuity, mineralization on adjacent claims is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on GSPR’s properties. That, of course, will ultimately be determined by the drill bit.
The Alwin Property hosts a high-grade, past-producing underground copper mine situated adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper operation — Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine.
The past-producing Alwin Mine boasts an Inferred mineral resource of 1.46 million tonnes grading 1.08% Cu for 34.6 million pounds of copper. Approximately two-thirds of the resource is amenable to open-pit mining with high-grade zones remaining open for expansion along strike and at depth.
Recent drilling by GSPR confirmed the presence of significant gold and silver values not captured in the historical database:
Hole AM-24-06:
- 7.9 meters of 5.04 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) and 1.01% Cu
- Including 1.64 meters of 22.93 g/t Au and 1.82% Cu
- Indicates a potentially distinct, high-grade gold-rich zone requiring further evaluation
Hole AM-24-01:
- 17.4 meters of 2.41% Cu, 35 g/t Ag, and 0.68 g/t Au
- Including 8.4 meters of 4.11% Cu, 60 g/t Ag, and 0.95 g/t Au
- Confirms broad high-grade copper mineralization with strong precious metal credits
The compilation and reinterpretation of legacy data, combined with new geophysics and guided by the resource modeling expertise of Kris Raffle, P.Geo., are expected to inform a broader upcoming drill campaign at Alwin.
Concurrently, drill permitting is underway at the company’s 100%-owned Mer Property, located ~2 km northwest of Alwin.

Historical drilling at Mer defined shallow porphyry-style copper mineralization, including intercepts of 30 meters grading 0.53% Cu and 21 meters at 0.51% Cu — making it a high-priority target for follow-up exploration during the upcoming field season.
With key metals testing all-time highs heading into the second half of the year, GSP Resource Corp. offers leveraged exposure to multiple commodity trends through a series of near-term exploration catalysts now underway.
For a deeper look, our own Gerardo Del Real of Junior Resource Monthly caught up with GSP Resource CEO Simon Dyakowski to discuss copper market tailwinds and next steps for advancing the flagship Alwin Mine Project. Please enjoy!
