Vancouver-based Ethos Capital Corporation says it's excited about results emerging from its gold exploration property in the White Gold district, south of Dawson City.

Ethos bought the property from Yukon prospector Shawn Ryan, and it could be his third big discovery in the White Gold district.

The district is near the site of the famed Klondike Gold Rush. Ryan believes these deposits are similar to the ones that fed the gold rich Klondike creek beds.

The company recently announced its 2011 exploration program had delineated a large gold soil anomaly measuring five kilometers by 3.5 kilometres at its Betty property.

Gary Freeman, president of the company, said it might be comparable to discoveries at Kaminak's nearby Coffee project.

“We're in very fertile land, the endowment is unmistakable, just look at our results and you'll see we've come up with some pretty spectacular gold grades in a lot of our sampling and our work this summer.”

The company's analyzing almost 35,000 soil samples plus results from lots of trenching. Freeman says getting a drill program underway this summer wasn't possible.

“$350 million spent in the Yukon really did plug up the labs and everything that you needed to do to continue working up there, so it limited a lot of people, us included,” he said.

“I wish I could drill today, I really do, but unfortunately it's cold, it's a long ways away and we're not going to be seeing any drilling until next year, but I'm pretty stoked about it and I really think there is a serious opportunity to have a very successful operation up there next year.”

Freeman said there would be two drilling rigs on the property next spring as early as the weather allows.
